The seafront town of Tybee Island is a popular vacation destination for people from across the southeast. Besides its miles of beaches, Tybee offers a year-round events calendar including big weekend festivals such as the annual Pirate Fest plus holiday beach parties, fundraisers, arts and crafts events, and more.
Tybee is situated 18 miles outside of Savannah, and is easy to get to from the city by either car or taxi. Traffic can, however, be heavy during the busiest in-season weekends and for major festivals. Arrive early to avoid the worst of the traffic and secure the best parking spots.
