Savannah In June

The branches of a live oak tree conceal historic residences on West Taylor Street, Savannah, GA.

June marks the real beginning of summer in Savannah, bringing increasingly high temperatures, especially toward the end of the month.

Though Savannah’s spring peak tourist season is over, there are still large numbers of weekend visitors, with SCAD’s graduation ceremonies over the late May/early June weekend attracting additional crowds.

By June, Savannah’s events calendar is winding down for the summer, but the city’s many tourist attractions are still popular, and this is also an ideal time of year to visit Tybee Island or the other sea islands of Georgia and South Carolina.
