June marks the official start of summer in Savannah, with temperatures rising, particularly toward the end of the month. Through June – and the rest of the summer months – you can expect daily highs around 90°F (32°C), or more, high humidity, and frequent afternoon thunderstorms.

Though Savannah’s spring peak tourist season is over, there are still large numbers of weekend visitors, with SCAD’s graduation ceremonies over the late May/early June weekend attracting additional crowds.
By June, Savannah’s events calendar is winding down for the summer, but the city’s many tourist attractions are still popular, and this is also an ideal time of year to visit Tybee Island or the other sea islands of Georgia and South Carolina.
