Savannah In August

The old Cotton Exchange building on Bay Street, Savannah, GA.

Savannah is too hot and humid for many visitors in August, and festivals and events are fairly thin on the ground. The oceanfront town of Tybee Island, along with the other sea islands of the Georgia and South Carolina coasts, are more popular destinations in the hottest months of summer.
