Savannah In April

The Tomochichi Federal Building and an old commercial building with historic signage, just off Wright Square in Savannah, GA.

April, along with the other spring months, is an ideal time to visit Savannah. The spring events season is in full swing, without the need to plan around the St Patrick’s week crush.

In early April, there is still a good chance of seeing the tail end of the azalea flowering season, which can persist through the month’s first couple of weeks.

Weather-wise, this might be the best month to visit Savannah. April is more predictably warm than March, with average highs in the upper 70s (although as always in Savannah, rain is a possibility). It should usually be warm enough for the beach and other outdoor activities, without being too hot. More about the best times to visit Savannah
