Savannah Weather In April

Weather-wise, April is one of the best months of the year to visit Savannah. Average highs are well into the 70s, touching 90 degrees on the hottest days. Although the humidity is starting to rise, the weather is still usually comfortable, in contrast to the excessive heat and humidity of the summer months.

By April, the weather should be good enough to enjoy all of Savannah’s activities and attractions, from outdoor sights such as parks and cemeteries, to picnicking, kayaking, boat tours, and more, in addition to the usual indoor museums and historic homes.

April can still bring a few cooler days and evenings, so pack several layers. Heavier outerwear is seldom necessary, but you will need an umbrella for showers or rainy days. Insect repellent is strongly advised if you will be visiting any nature sites. The UV index in April is high, and sunscreen is a must for all complexions.
