Hilton Head Island Kayaking – Tours & Rentals
The salt marshes and waterways around Hilton Head Island offer beautiful scenery year-round and plentiful opportunities for nature watching, with local dolphins and a wide variety of birds and other wildlife inhabiting the marshes and creeks.
A kayak tour can be a fun way to explore the lowcountry environment, allowing closer access to the marshes and their wildlife than would be possible from a boat.
Most of the kayak tours available from Hilton Head are geared towards the beginner, and will include an introduction to paddling. If you already have experience of the sport and want to explore more of the area, a private tour may better suit your needs.
Kayaking is most popular in the months of spring through fall, but some guides also conduct tours in the off-season.
