Savannah In February

River Street at night, with colorful reflections in the Savannah River.

February is a good month to visit Savannah if you want to avoid the crowds of spring, with the city’s winter-flowering camellias serving as prelude to the more profuse blossomings of March and April. There is a chance of warmish weather, but it is best to plan for cooler days: average highs are in the 60s.

– More about when to visit Savannah

Together with the other winter months, accommodation bargains can often be found in February, excepting the days around the 14th. Savannah is frequently voted one of the most romantic cities in the US, and is a popular Valentine’s Day destination.
