Georgia Festivals In May


Georgia in May is starting to heat up, with plenty of sunny weather and many days well into the 80s.

May festivals in Georgia include include several of Atlanta’s biggest events: the Atlanta Film Festival, the Atlanta Jazz Festival over the Memorial Day weekend, and Sweet Auburn Springfest, the biggest free outdoor festival in the southeast.

Other Georgia festivals in May are the ongoing Georgia Renaissance Festival, several popular arts and crafts festivals in the Atlanta area and elsewhere in Georgia, and big community events such as McDonough’s Geranium Festival.

There are many other things to do in Georgia in May: scenic barrier islands, state parks and wildlife refuges, a visit to one of the state’s historic cities, plus the full range of tourist attractions in Atlanta, Savannah, Athens, Macon and elsewhere.
