Georgia Festivals In September

September in Georgia signals the end of summer, although temperatures typically remain high throughout the month, making it an excellent time for an off-season visit to the state’s beaches.

Labor Day weekend events in Georgia include the Decatur Book Festival and Atlanta’s Black Pride Weekend, both among the biggest such events in the country.

Other Georgia festivals in September include several music festivals, such as Savannah’s free jazz festival toward the end of the month, food festivals, state and country fairs, and the first events of the fall festival season.

There are also several popular arts and crafts festivals in September, including the Yellow Daisy Festival at Stone Mountain, Arts in the Heart of Augusta, and Marietta’s Labor Day Art in the Park, among others.
