Savannah’s Daffin Park hosts several major events and festivals each year, with races, food and music festivals, and fundraising and other community events (its downtown counterpart Forsyth Park is another popular Savannah events space).

Publix Savannah Women’s Half and 5K, late March to early April. The 2017 race is scheduled for April 8. The route of this recently-established women-oriented race (men may participate but are not eligible for finisher awards) passes through Daffin Park, then through the Historic District and Forsyth Park. Please note that the post-race party, with live music, refreshments and awards is held at Forsyth Park, downtown. Registration required. Event website
Easter Egg Hunt, Easter weekend. At least one egg hunt is usually held each year in Daffin Park. A city-organized egg hunt is on Wednesday April 5, and a church-organized community hunt is on Saturday April 8. The main Easter egg hunt, organized by the LifeBridge Church, is on April 15. Miles for Meals 5K, late May or June. The 2017 event is on May 20. This charity race around Daffin Park and surrounding streets benefits the Meals on Wheels program, providing food for homebound or at-risk seniors in coastal Georgia. Registration required. More details

Saucony XC Kickoff Classic, late August. 2017 event details TBC. A series of races through Daffin Park for cross country runners from regional high school teams, with girls’ and boys’ events and one 5K race open to the public. Registration required.
Midnight Garden Ride, early to mid October. 2017 date TBC. Escorted family-friendly evening bike ride through Savannah, followed by live music and other entertainments at the Good and Evil Party at Daffin Park’s Grayson Stadium. Event benefits the Savannah Bicycle Campaign, which works to promote cycling in the city. Registration required. More details
Savannah Food Day Festival, late October. 2017 date TBC. The Food Day Festival is a free outdoor festival – with a live concert, exhibits and vendors, plus a farmers’ market, workshops and cooking classes – intended to promote healthy eating, sustainable agriculture, animal welfare and fair working conditions in the food industry. Rock N Roll Savannah, early November. The Rock ‘N’ Roll Savannah weekend (November 4-5 2017) features several runs centered around Forsyth and Daffin Parks. Daffin Park hosts the 5K and 1K events, to be held on Sunday November 5. Registration required. More details

This 4-mile race (plus children’s events) through Daffin Park and surrounding streets benefits United Way of the Coastal Empire, which provides support for community programs and services in coastal Georgia.
